About the Race
Gardner Police Department’s mission is to protect and serve all persons with courtesy, respect, and fairness and to hold ourselves accountable for providing the highest quality of police service in the performance of our duties. We recognize that we are first and foremost a service organization and we are committed to serve with honor and integrity. One of the ways to provide the highest quality of police service is through our K9 officers, Zeus and Officer James Anderson.
K9 Zeus is trained in narcotics and patrol. Over the past three years, he has averaged 103 narcotics deployments. He has also located suspects in fields and under beds making it safe for officers. K9 Zeus has been a useful tool for the Gardner Police Department. K9 Zeus searches buildings or residences, locates missing adults and kids and provides safety to officers.
Gardner Police Department is excited to partner with Back the Blue 5K to host the third annual 5K & 10K walk/run on June 29, 2019. We are raising money for the Gardner Police Department canine training fund as well as the National Canine Association for their training efforts.
