About the Race
Every 58 hours, a law enforcement officer in the United States dies in the line of duty.
In the wake of such tragedy, there are spouses, children, mothers, fathers, siblings, left to rebuild their lives and develop their ‘new normal’ as they learn to move forward in memory of their hero. They are survivors. Our mission is to never forget and walk the journey of hope on the road of recovery with every member.
Central Florida COPS is a fully volunteer based organization developed by local survivors and relies entirely upon donations to fulfill our mission. All money received from donations funds hands-on programs which allow survivors to receive support from peers who have experienced the gravity of their loss, attend sessions designed for their survivor needs and obtain resources to help them through the process of grief and coping.
Events such as Back the Blue 5K help us further the mission of Central Florida COPS and your support is instrumental. Please consider supporting us by being a local sponsor, registering for the race or making a donation.
